   Hey! I'm Elly Gard from The Spilled Inkwell. On a cross country road trip this year, my mother presented to me the idea of creating a blog dedicated to spewing the wisdom, and analyzing the films of Walt Disney and Company. I've decided to take it on, due to both my passion for Disney, as well as that of writing.
    For a long while now, it has been lost to me why very many people dislike and disrepute Disney. I try to look from their eyes, and although some of them stand on firmer ground than others -and everyone is entitled to their opinion - I think that a lot of people miss what Disney is trying to convey.
     The underlying moral and ethical themes of these films are present, and I've met those who construe those views in such a way that they sour the very thought of them in others' minds.
       On this blog, I'll take my goal as an assignment. I'm going to dedicate one month, starting in September, to studying select Disney animated movies in chronological order. Starting with 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, I will end with 2014's Frozen, and include Pixar films along the way. I'll log things such as how the film may have been caused by the times, what sort of lesson it conveys, and how we should, or could, take it.
       Even if you are unsure of whether or not Disney - which has become slightly controversial in recent times - really does convey good lessons, I hope you'll hear me out. Here, I'll be honest, official, and most importantly - I will do my research. Enjoy. =)
